Recipe: Immune Booster Smoothie
We lead very busy lives. We’re constantly on the go with work, school, trying to stay fit, brunch dates, the kids, your daily slay…
What do all these activities have in common? They involve other humans that carry germs.
In the winter, we tend to huddle in close quarters for warmth. #GERMS.
The summer months involve cool conditioned air that dries out our mucous membranes; which leaves us vulnerable to the viruses that cause cold symptoms.
Here’s one of my favorite smoothie recipes that’s jammed packed with vitamin C, copper, fiber, bromelain (an anti inflammatory) etc. to help ward off the cold virus.
- 2 Oranges
- 1 Mango
- 1 Lemon
- 1 cup Pineapple*
- 1/2 Banana
- 1/2 cup Almond Milk
- 1 cup Crushed Ice
- NutriBullet or Blender
*Be mindful when consuming pineapple when taking certain medications.
Add diced fruit, ice, and almond milk into blending cup. Hack: No matter which appliance you use, place ice closest to blade.
Blend to desire consistency. Enjoy!
